Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does the Meet SE meet a 4K-resolution minimum?
No. Its model-specific table tops out at 1920x1080; the separate 720p150 mode is not 4K.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the Meet SE's included Privacy Cover satisfy the finder's built-in physical-shutter requirement?
No. The package lists a detachable cover, while the reviewed model pages do not document a shutter built into the camera housing. The strict shutter filter therefore does not count this cover; Sleep Mode is a separate software feature.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the Meet SE meet a 1080p60 request with autofocus and camera microphone hardware?
Yes, the manufacturer lists 1080p60 separately from the 1080p100 maximum, and documents AF/MF plus a built-in microphone. It uses USB 2.0 over Type-C; confirm the host, app, supplied cable route and actual frame-rate choice before relying on the mode.
Explore this need in the finder →What the Space Grey [Pack] actually is
The OBSBOT Meet SE is a fixed-body Full HD webcam, not a 4K variant hidden behind a high frame-rate headline. The U.S. store page identifies the Space Grey base package as SKU P.B.1.00027. Its technical table lists a 1/2.8-inch sensor, autofocus/manual-focus control, a 78-degree diagonal field of view and USB 2.0 data through a Type-C port. The package comes with a USB-C-to-C cable, a USB-C-to-USB-A adapter, a detachable Privacy Cover and a Magnetic Mount. The 33.2-gram figure is for the camera without its mount; OBSBOT lists 59.5 grams with it. None of those specifications says how a real room, monitor edge or caller will look, so this assessment does not present a personal image test.
Separate the resolution and frame-rate pairs
The headline maximums are two different modes: 1920 × 1080 up to 100 frames per second, or 1280 × 720 up to 150 fps. The table also lists 1080p60, which makes the Meet SE a documented Full HD 60-fps candidate; it does not imply 1080p150. The FAQ cautions that resolution and frame rate can vary across platforms, so the useful shopping check is whether the operating system and the particular call, capture or streaming app expose the mode you intend to use. The high-resolution entries are MJPEG. OBSBOT's YUV entries are only 640 × 480 and 640 × 360, not an uncompressed Full HD fallback.
There is no 4K mode in the Meet SE table. If 4K is the requirement, this model does not become a match because a different product in the Meet family reaches 4K30: the separate Meet 2 assessment documents a different camera and package. The Meet SE's Staggered HDR is documented up to 1080p60, not at its 1080p100 maximum. OBSBOT also flags firmware as a prerequisite for HDR and some orientation modes. A published maximum is a selection boundary, not a promise of quality or compatibility in every app.
Autofocus, framing and the controls
AF/MF means the lens supports autofocus and software manual focus; it is not fixed focus. The listed 10-centimeter-to-infinity focus distance is a lens specification, not a test of how quickly or reliably focus changes. The 78-degree diagonal field of view offers a narrower planning point than a very wide meeting-room camera, but actual composition still depends on camera distance, monitor placement and the app's crop.
OBSBOT describes AI auto-framing with group, close-up and upper-body modes, with Single Body available only in portrait orientation. It also documents portrait output when the camera is physically rotated. Treat these as software-controlled digital framing choices rather than a motorized pan/tilt-head claim. The same feature notes put an important interaction in view: gesture zoom is not supported while auto-framing is on. If you need a fixed crop or gestures, decide which control matters more, then check the latest firmware and OBSBOT Center requirements rather than assuming both operate at once.
Audio and privacy are different decisions
The technical page lists a built-in microphone with noise reduction and automatic gain; the FAQ says it can be switched on or off in OBSBOT Center. That establishes a documented camera-microphone path, not intelligibility in a particular room or a reason to skip a headset. The separately named Space Grey Combo adds an external HQ Mic and a USB-A-to-USB-C data/power cable with an inline switch. It is the same webcam with extra accessories, not a different Meet SE camera or evidence that its built-in microphone changes.
The base [Pack] includes a physical Privacy Cover that attaches over the lens, but it is a removable accessory, not a shutter built into the camera body. OBSBOT separately describes Sleep Mode, a software/device state. A cover can help when you want a visible lens block, while a software state is not the same hardware requirement as an integrated shutter; neither should be treated as a documented microphone mute unless the setting is separately confirmed. If your policy requires a built-in shutter, use that finder condition and choose a camera whose exact review documents one.
Connection, support and package checks
The camera's data connection is USB 2.0 even though the socket is Type-C. That is a functional distinction: the connector's shape does not establish USB 3. The Space Grey package's C-to-C cable and C-to-A adapter offer two host-plug shapes, but neither changes the camera's USB generation. OBSBOT names Windows 10 64-bit or later and macOS 11 or later; it also gives recommended computer configurations for the higher frame-rate modes. These are maker requirements and recommendations, not independent compatibility testing. Check your actual port, host power, adapter and software before using a long cable, hub or application-specific high-rate mode.
The named package gives a Magnetic Mount and the specifications show a UNC 1/4-20 interface, but the base contents do not list a tripod. The official selector also names Cloud White (P.B.1.00028) and Aurora Green (P.B.1.00029) finishes. This page's photograph is the Space Grey model; it should not be read as a picture of either other color. Verify the seller's exact color and package, especially if a Combo is being offered, rather than assuming a matching accessory list from a neighboring listing.
Who should compare it—and who should pass
Meet SE is worth comparing when Full HD is enough, autofocus and built-in microphone hardware are wanted, and a USB 2.0 Type-C setup is acceptable. Its maker-listed 1080p100 and 720p150 modes may interest a workflow that explicitly uses those separate output pairs; for ordinary calls, the 1080p60 line is the more relevant ceiling to check. It is a distinct assessment from the similarly named earlier Tiny SE, whose camera, framing behavior and included items must be checked on its own page, and from Meet 2's 4K30/1080p60 combination.
Pass if 4K, an integrated physical shutter, a USB 3 data route, guaranteed performance in an unspecified app or an exact TAA claim is essential. The official page gives an exact manufacturer SKU for the Space Grey listing, but the reviewed sources do not identify it as TAA-compliant; procurement should not treat an unmentioned status as approval. This is a source-based feature assessment, not hands-on testing, ownership advice, a price or stock report, or an assurance that any seller's box matches the manufacturer's named package.
