Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do I need a true 4K60 Rally Plus mode?
No. The Rally camera lists 4K through 30 fps and separate 1080p/720p 60-fps modes; 4K60 is not documented. USB 3.0 is required for resolutions above 1080p.

The exact U.S. Rally Plus 960-001225 box lists two mic pods and two speakers; Rally System 960-001217 lists one of each. The camera family is the same, but the supplied room audio coverage differs.

No. The lens parks downward in sleep, not behind an opaque shutter, and the hubs and camera need their own power/cabling. Check microphone muting and application routing separately.
Explore this need in the finder →Logitech Rally Plus is best understood as an installed-room camera and audio system that can serve a meeting-room computer over USB—not as a webcam to clip to a monitor. This assessment covers the graphite U.S. Rally Plus bundle, part 960-001225, because Logitech’s current product page and system datasheet bridge that exact package to the Rally Camera and its supplied room components. The original manufacturer material is the evidence here; no camera, microphone, room or call was tested for this review.
The Plus bundle is an audio package, not a different lens
The Rally Plus package pairs the same Rally Camera used in the smaller Rally system with a Display Hub, Table Hub, remote, power supplies and cables. What the Plus edition adds in the standard box is a second Rally Speaker and a second Rally Mic Pod. The camera remains the same 4K-capable motorized PTZ unit, while the additional room audio hardware changes how the system can be laid out and how much of the table has a supplied mic pickup point.
Logitech’s current selector also lists the separate Rally System, part 960-001217, with one speaker and one mic pod, and Rally Plus with White Mic Pods, part 960-001398. The one-speaker/one-pod Rally package is a materially different package from 960-001225; the white-mic version is a finish variant, not a second camera. Check the exact part label and count of pods and speakers on any reseller offer rather than assuming the Plus accessories are included with every Rally route.
Use the mode table, not the “4K” headline alone
The Rally camera system lists 4K, 1440p, 1080p, 900p, 720p and SD at 30 frames per second, with separate 1080p and 720p modes at 60 fps. Thus, this bundle meets either a 4K-at-30 requirement or a Full HD 60-fps requirement, but the two rates are not one combined 4K60 mode. Logitech specifies USB 3 for resolutions above 1080p; its included computer cable is a 2-meter USB Type-A-to-Type-B lead from the room computer to the Display Hub, while the camera connects to that hub over a separate 2-meter USB-C cable.
The hubs reduce cross-room connections, but they add equipment and cable planning. The Table Hub and Display Hub link over CAT6A, the two speakers attach through Mini XLR, and the two hubs need separate AC power. The product is not bus-powered by a laptop. Before installation, confirm the computer port, cable run, display connections, power outlets and an application that supports the desired camera mode. A mode shown in a manufacturer table is not a guarantee that every video-call application will choose it.
Room framing and focus
Rally Camera’s listed diagonal field of view is 90 degrees, with motorized pan, tilt and 15x HD zoom. Autofocus and Logitech RightSight framing are documented; these are useful distinctions from a fixed desk camera, though automatic framing is not a picture-quality test. The horizontal movement can help a camera cover a seated room or point toward a presenter without moving the whole system. It also makes placement, preset setup and the intended viewing angle part of the installation rather than a one-time monitor clip adjustment.
What the included audio does—and does not—mean
Two Rally Mic Pods and two Rally Speakers are included with SKU 960-001225. Each mic pod provides a mute button with a status light, and Logitech’s modular design supports adding more pods for a larger room. That is a package-level microphone match; it is not evidence of independently measured intelligibility, echo behavior or sound quality in your room. Room surfaces, distance, speaker placement and application processing can all change the practical result. If buying the standard Rally System 960-001217 instead, verify that its one included pod is enough for the intended table layout.
Privacy and the main tradeoffs
The Rally camera lens parks at a downward angle in sleep mode, which Logitech describes as a privacy position. That is not an integrated opaque shutter, and the product documentation does not establish that camera privacy mutes a microphone or disables every recording path. If your policy requires a physical lens cover, microphone mute and an explicit recording rule, check each separately; this camera’s movement should not be treated as proof of all three.
The strongest case for Rally Plus is a room that needs a separate camera, room speakers and table microphones in one known USB-connected system. Its main cost in effort is the set of hubs, powered components, cable routes and room placement decisions. A small desk, laptop-only traveler or buyer seeking a simple USB webcam would be taking on hardware intended for a different installation. Even in a meeting room, a standalone Rally Camera plus an existing audio system may be more appropriate than paying for a bundle whose speakers and pods would be unused.
Verify the package before choosing a seller
Match Rally Plus 960-001225, not Rally System 960-001217, the White Mic Pods part 960-001398, or a camera-only Rally Camera. Check for the two mic pods, two speakers, hubs, remote, both power supplies, USB leads, CAT6A and HDMI cables, and inspect the exact offer’s condition and return terms. If you require a particular procurement certification, do not infer it from the Rally family name: this review did not find an exact-SKU TAA statement for 960-001225. The practical decision is whether the camera modes, two-pod/two-speaker bundle and installed USB/power layout fit the room you actually have.
