Logitech Rally AI Camera Pro review

A dual-camera USB room system with 4K30 modes, a motorized 15x hybrid-zoom PTZ camera, a separate wide digital camera and eight microphone elements. Its PoE++ power and USB 3.2 Gen 1 4K requirement need an installed-room plan.

A useful fit for

A larger or more complex meeting room where optical PTZ reach and a separate wide digital view justify a powered multi-camera installation, with USB 3.2 Gen 1 and compatible conference software.

The main tradeoff

The Pro is a heavy room device with separate PoE++ power, cable and mounting requirements; its official mode table lists 4K30 but no 60-fps format, and exact focus/shutter classifications remain unconfirmed.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

What makes Rally AI Camera Pro different from Rally AI Camera?

Pro adds a separate 8 MP motorized optical PTZ camera with 15x hybrid zoom beside a 20 MP one-inch wide digital camera; the standard AI Camera has a single wide digital camera with 3x zoom.

Can the Pro provide 4K60?

No 60-fps mode is listed. Logitech publishes 4K and other resolutions at 30 fps and requires USB 3.2 Gen 1 or higher for 4K output.

Does the USB cable power this room camera?

No. The package includes a separate PoE++ power supply/injector and AC lead, along with a 2 m USB 3.2 Gen 1 C-to-C cable, CAT6A cable and wall mount.

Logitech Rally AI Camera Pro is a graphite U.S. conference camera, part 960-001756, built around a two-camera arrangement for larger, more complex meeting spaces. It has a documented USB connection to a meeting-room computer, but the camera body, PoE++ power, cable cover and wall-mount hardware point to a planned room installation rather than a personal desktop webcam. This is a manufacturer-source assessment; it does not claim hands-on setup, measured tracking, picture quality or audio performance.

Two optical systems explain the “Pro” difference

The Pro combines a motorized 8-megapixel PTZ camera with a separate 20-megapixel, one-inch digital camera. Logitech lists 15x hybrid zoom for the motorized camera, achieved with 5x optical and 3x digital zoom, and a 90-degree diagonal field of view. The digital camera has 4x HD digital zoom and a 115.7-degree diagonal field. The published camera modes include 4K, 1440p, 1080p, 900p, 720p and SD at 30 frames per second. Do not combine the 4K ceiling with a 60-fps expectation: the reviewed specification lists 30 fps modes only.

This differs from Rally AI Camera 960-001808, whose single one-inch imaging sensor and 3x digital zoom are designed around a wide view. Pro adds optical reach and physical PTZ coverage, which can matter when one fixed camera position must include more distant participants or presenters. These specifications describe lens and framing options; they are not evidence that every view will suit every room, or that automated framing has been evaluated here.

USB output, power and cable requirements

Logitech documents a USB route to a meeting-room computer and notes that a USB connection supports plug-and-play connectivity in that setup. To output 4K, the manufacturer requires a USB 3.2 Gen 1 or higher cable. The reviewed U.S. product package lists a 2-meter USB-C-to-USB-C cable, a power supply, PoE++ injector, 1-meter AC cable, 3-meter CAT6A cable, cable cover and wall-mount assembly. Power is separate; a USB cable alone should not be treated as the whole installation.

The camera also supports a direct connection to certain CollabOS hosts, while optional extension hardware allows a Category-cable route. Those are alternative room arrangements, not one simultaneous connection plan. Choose the host first, then check the matching cable, power path, mounting plate and app/provider support. A long cable run may require the optional extension kit, which is not part of the standard package.

Eight microphones, but no built-in speaker

Both Rally AI cameras list eight omnidirectional digital MEMS beamforming elements with 48-kHz microphone output. The Pro’s USB audio processing also uses direction-of-arrival information for camera framing. That documents microphone hardware, but not a speaker, room noise suppression result or a tested pickup distance. Logitech describes flexible audio integration with room systems and other partners; verify which device is the microphone and which device returns audio in the exact Teams, Zoom or other meeting arrangement.

The total unit is listed at 5.5 pounds, with the lens housing extending farther when in use. Wall, shelf, above- or below-display, and tripod placements are described, and Logitech recommends positioning near eye level. The mounting choice affects camera angle and whether the PTZ field can reach the desired seating area. Cable retention and access to the separate power device also deserve a plan before fastening the unit in place.

Do not infer autofocus, shutter or compliance

RightSight-based intelligent framing and two camera systems do not by themselves tell a buyer whether the lens focus system is classified as autofocus or fixed focus. The reviewed primary sources do not clearly name either focus category for this exact SKU, so this assessment leaves it unconfirmed. The sources reviewed also do not document an integrated physical shutter; if an opaque lens cover is required, request explicit evidence for the exact model rather than treating software framing or a sleep position as a shutter.

The product documentation lists U.S./Canada/Mexico graphite 960-001756 and Off-White 960-001775. The color changes the part identity, so sellers should be checked against the intended finish. I did not find an exact-SKU TAA statement for 960-001756. “Business” positioning and a room-security feature set are not a substitute for a procurement certification.

Who should consider Pro?

Rally AI Camera Pro is a specialist choice for a room where optical reach, motorized coverage, wide digital views and USB-connected video are all useful. Its 4K mode needs the specified USB generation, while its PoE++ supply and wall-scale setup increase installation effort. The regular Rally AI Camera is the simpler wide-view sibling; an ordinary desk webcam is smaller and requires far less coordination. Pro’s advantages matter most when its multiple camera perspectives and placement options solve a real room geometry problem.

Before ordering, confirm Graphite SKU 960-001756 rather than Off-White 960-001775 or the standard Rally AI Camera. Verify the included PoE++ injector, supply and AC cable, 2-meter USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable, CAT6A cable, cable cover, wall mount and screws. Check that the intended host and application support the desired 4K30 and multi-camera functions, and distinguish the optional extension kit from included items. Without those checks, a long feature list can conceal the wrong cable, finish or installation plan.
